From then to now.

Then was teaching in an elementary classroom in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Now is living in a small fishing community on Digby Neck. I've lived here for two hundred and twenty-seven years, in one form or another. My Halifax life was always tilted to living here. Then, I used to say, I work in Halifax so I can live here. Now, I can say, I live here.

In many ways, all the in between time is not much different then it would be for anyone. Husband, children, pets, job, friends, home, in no particular order. The only real change is now there is no job, at least not in the former sense. Now the job varies, and is always of my own choosing. As for the rest: Husband; still. Kids;grown and mostly independent, Pets; some old and some new. Friends; always more.

So, here we are. Today it is snowing.
